Asbestos Project Manager- Stirling
Location: Stirling
Salary: £70,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits
Contract: Permanent | Full-Time (Mon–Fri, 40 hours)
The Opportunity
A leading industrial manufacturer is seeking an experienced Asbestos Project Manager to join their Projects & Engineering team. This is a key role supporting a long-term site transformation programme, focused on modernising facilities and improving safety standards.
You will play a central role in delivering complex projects, including the safe removal of asbestos-containing materials (ACM), alongside wider construction, demolition, and infrastructure upgrades. This is a high-impact position within a fast-paced, heavy industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the safe planning and delivery of asbestos removal projects in line with CDM regulations and industry best practice
- Develop and manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, and technical documentation
- Oversee contractors and principal contractors, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and programme targets
- Act as a key decision-maker on contractor selection, project milestones, and execution strategies
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery
- Monitor and report on project performance, ensuring adherence to EHS and regulatory standards
- Issue and manage Permits to Work and ensure safe site operations
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A qualification in Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent)
- Strong experience in project management within industrial or construction environments
- Proven experience managing asbestos (ACM) removal projects
- Solid understanding of CDM Regulations and EHS best practices
- Experience managing multiple contractors and complex workstreams
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to analyse technical information and deliver safe, compliant solutions
Desirable:
- Asbestos qualifications (e.g., BOHS P405/P406 or equivalent)
- Health & Safety certifications (e.g., SMSTS, NEBOSH Construction)
