Kingston Barnes is working with a leading Tier 1 main contractor to recruit an experienced Bid Manager for its successful Bristol business.
Joining an established pre construction team, you will lead major bids across Bristol and the wider South West. The business has a strong pipeline of negotiated, framework and public sector opportunities covering education, healthcare, defence, commercial and residential projects.
The Role
You will manage the complete bid process from initial opportunity through to submission and interview.
Responsibilities will include:
- Leading multiple bids from PQQ to final submission
- Developing bid strategies and compelling win themes
- Coordinating Design, Commercial, Planning and Operational teams
- Managing deadlines, workshops and review meetings
- Producing and reviewing high quality written submissions
- Preparing project teams for client interviews
- Improving bid processes, content libraries and submission quality
- Building relationships with clients, consultants and framework partners
About You
You may currently be working as a Bid Manager, Senior Bid Coordinator, Pre Construction Manager, Design Manager, Planner, Project Manager or Contracts Manager.
Experience within a main contractor environment would be advantageous, alongside:
- Strong construction knowledge
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to coordinate multiple teams and deadlines
- Strong writing and presentation skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- A confident and collaborative leadership style
