Then get in touch! Kingston Barnes has a fantastic opportunity for CNC Setters for one of our manufacturing clients in the Bristol area. Our client supplies complex machined parts to well-known industry-specific companies.
The Company: Our client specialises in machining complex machined parts for the aerospace industry. Established for over 80 years, they are looking for talented individuals to join their team due to continued growth.
The Role:
- Setting and Operating CNC mills and lathes
- Ensuring performance of part production to planned set and run times and Quality requirements
- Communicating not right first time (NRFT) within assigned areas
- Recording and assisting the Manufacturing Group Leader in improving the 5S organisation of the assigned Team areas and personal responsibility for machines being operated
- Responsible for attending and participating in progress meetings as required
- Responsible for ensuring correct materials, Route Cards, and drawings are used to produce components
- Setting up tools and offsets ready for your own operation to commence and assist Operators where appropriate
- Ensuring Delivery Schedule Adherence of parts to system/route card dates
- Responsible for ensuring work is completed on time in full to process routing/system date requirements
The Candidate:
- CNC Milling or Turning experience
- Heidenhain/Fanuc knowledge/experience
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings
- Knowledge of manufacturing techniques
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Previous manufacturing experience
- Previous aerospace experience
The Benefits:

- 07:30 a.m. – 16:00 p.m. Mon – Thu, 07:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Fri
- 37 hours per week
