A multi award winning regional building contractor is looking to appoint a Design Coordinator to support their growing Design team in Swindon.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone already working within a construction coordination, technical support, document control or design administration role who is looking to progress their career towards Assistant Design Management.
Working closely with the Head of Design and wider project teams, you’ll play a key role in supporting the coordination and management of design information across live construction projects.
The role would suit someone highly organised, proactive and process driven who enjoys working in a fast paced construction environment and wants genuine long term progression within a respected contractor.
Key Responsibilities
• Supporting the Design Management team across multiple projects
• Coordinating and collating technical and design information
• Managing trackers, document control systems and design processes
• Organising meetings, issuing minutes and following up actions
• Liaising with consultants, subcontractors and internal teams
• Monitoring design progress and ensuring information is issued on time
• Assisting with RFIs, drawing reviews and technical submissions
• Supporting communication between pre construction and delivery teams
Ideal Background
• Previous experience in a Design Coordinator, Technical Coordinator, Document Controller or similar construction support role
• Experience working within a main contractor, consultancy or construction environment
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
• Good IT and systems knowledge including Microsoft Office and document management platforms
• Ambitious and keen to progress into an Assistant Design Manager role over time
