We’re partnering with a well-established and highly respected main contractor based in Wiltshire, known for delivering thoughtfully designed, high-quality building projects across education, healthcare, commercial, industrial and heritage sectors. Due to continued growth and a strong forward pipeline, they’re looking for a Design Manager to join their thriving team.

The Role
As Design Manager, you'll be at the heart of the pre-construction and delivery phases, ensuring design solutions are developed efficiently, practically and aligned with client goals, project budgets and buildability requirements.
You’ll lead the design coordination across multiple live projects, managing information flow, mitigating risk, and driving collaboration between the design team, site management and supply chain — from tender through to handover.
What We’re Looking For:

3+ years' experience as a Design Manager in a main contractor environment

Strong working knowledge of D&B contracts, two-stage tenders and pre-construction design development

Ability to manage multiple projects across sectors (education, commercial, healthcare, etc.)

Confident communicator, commercially aware and highly organised

Collaborative approach, with a strong eye for detail and quality
