Electrical Control & Instrumentation Engineer- Exeter

Salary: £57,842 + Bonus + Benefits
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

The Role
Reporting to the Engineering & Maintenance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the long-term reliability and performance of the plant.
Working closely with mechanical and site teams, you will be responsible for all electrical, control and instrumentation engineering activities on site. This includes the planning and execution of maintenance, ensuring plant availability, and supporting the safe and efficient operation of the facility.
You will also contribute to the development of team capability by sharing your technical expertise and supporting continuous improvement across engineering functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver electrical, control and instrumentation maintenance across the site
- Plan and execute maintenance activities to maximise plant availability
- Support safe systems of work, including Permit to Work procedures
- Supervise contractors and ensure delivery against key performance indicators
- Manage maintenance activities through a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Collaborate with engineering teams to meet health and safety, environmental and financial targets
- Support the development and upskilling of colleagues
About You
- Proven experience working with EC&I systems, including fault finding and repair
- Experience operating within Permit to Work and Safe Systems of Work
- Experience supervising contractors or teams
- Familiarity with CMMS systems
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- HNC (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline
Package
- Salary: £57,842 per annum
- Annual bonus: 10–14% discretionary
