JOB TITLE : Managing Director
SALARY : 100-130k dependant on experience

THE OPPORTUNITY
A leading courier company within a global network seeks a French-speaking Managing Director to lead their thriving depot. This established player in the high-end luxury industry offers a dynamic opportunity for a seasoned transport professional.
CORE RESPONSIBILITES
- Leadership: Motivate and manage the team to achieve outstanding customer service results. Cultivate a positive and productive work environment.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee all aspects of the business’ day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to company policies.
- Growth Strategy: Lead the business in building upon its past successes and developing a strategic plan for continued commercial growth.
- Human Resources: Provide effective personnel management, including recruitment, training, performance management and employee relations.
- Financial Management: Manage the business’ financial performance, including KPIs, P&L ownership, cash flow analysis, and strategic investment decisions.
- Contract Negotiation: Represent the company in legal and contractual negotiations with suppliers and customers, working alongside our external legal teams.
- Facilities Management: Ensure the branch premises are well-maintained, meet all legal and insurance requirements, and offer a positive experience for both staff and customers.
- Reporting & Communication: Regularly prepare and deliver comprehensive reports on operational, commercial, and financial performance. Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Must be a fluent/native French speaker
- Possess experience in the Transport & Logistics industry, preferably with a focus on road freight/courier services (domestic and international).
- Have a strong understanding of business and customer requirements and a proven ability to find effective solutions.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable working under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities, motivating and inspiring your team to achieve their full potential.
- Embrace flexibility and possess the ability to adapt to a changing work environment.
- Background checks will be done due to the nature of the business.
Salary and Package:
£100,000 - £130,000 (to be negotiated depending on experience)
