Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer (Bridgwater)
About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading UK manufacturer known for its high-quality food packaging solutions supplied across Europe. With multiple sites across the UK, they continue to innovate and grow within their sector.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing maintenance team of 8-10 engineers at a fast-paced manufacturing facility. You will play a key role in ensuring electrical and mechanical systems run efficiently while troubleshooting and resolving breakdowns to keep production running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair electrical and mechanical systems across the facility
- Work with three-phase motors, drives, inverters, pumps, pneumatics, and hydraulics
- Diagnose faults and carry out preventative maintenance on conveyors, packaging, thermoforming, and extrusion machines
- Perform electrical maintenance tasks as required
- Work under pressure to meet production deadlines
- Report to the Site Manager and contribute to continuous improvement
What We’re Looking For
- Electrically or mechanically biased engineer with mechanical fault-finding skills
- Experience working with electro-mechanical equipment
- A recognised electrical apprenticeship or relevant qualification (C&G, NVQ Level 3, HNC)
- Background in manufacturing or fast-moving production environments (forces backgrounds considered if highly skilled)
Benefits & Package
- Salary £52,088.36
- Working 6am to 6pm/ 6pm to 6am, 4 on 4 off. 42 hours per week average
- 22 days holiday
