Job Title: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrically Biased)
Location: Bridgwater
Reporting To: Maintenance Supervisor

Role Purpose
To ensure all mechanical, electrical, and production equipment is maintained at optimum performance levels. The role is electrically biased with a strong mechanical element, focusing on proactive and reactive maintenance, fault finding, and continuous improvement to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability.
Maintenance Experience Required
- Electrically biased, multi-skilled maintenance background
- Fault finding and maintenance on:
- 3-phase motors, drives, and inverters
- Pumps, pneumatics, and hydraulics
- Conveyor systems
- Packaging, thermoforming, and extrusion machinery
- Experience working in a manufacturing or FMCG environment
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight production deadlines
- Hands-on mechanical and electrical maintenance experience
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
- Electrical apprenticeship or equivalent
- City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 minimum
- HNC or equivalent engineering qualification
- 3–5 years’ experience in a similar maintenance engineering role
- Strong electro-mechanical fault-finding skills
- Computer literate with experience using CMMS systems
- Proactive, self-motivated problem solver
Desirable:
- FMCG or fast-paced manufacturing background
- Forces background considered for exceptional candidates
Salary & Benefits
- Rate: £24.47 per hour (£21.15 base + £3.31 shift allowance)
- Annual Equivalent: £60,671
- Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off (days and nights), average 42 hours per week
- Holiday: 22 days
