Are you an organised and proactive administrator with experience supporting operations, production, or project teams? Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and effective coordination are key? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Administrator to join a growing engineering and manufacturing business in Bedford.
As an Operations Administrator, you will provide vital support to the Head of Operations and wider operational teams, ensuring accurate information, effective communication, and smooth coordination across projects, procurement, production, and aftermarket activities.
The Role
- As the Operations Administrator, your responsibilities will include:Providing administrative and coordination support to the Head of Operations and supporting departments.
- Maintaining accurate operational, order, and delivery information within the ERP/business management system.
- Monitoring aftermarket order progress, key milestones, and outstanding actions.
- Supporting project, procurement, and production teams with reports, trackers, and status updates.
- Identifying potential delays, issues, or information gaps and escalating them where necessary.
- Assisting with operational, project, procurement, and production meetings.
- Managing action trackers and ensuring follow-up actions are completed on time.
- Coordinating information between departments to improve workflow and visibility.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across operational processes and reporting.
- Ensuring accurate and timely information is available to support operational decision-making.
The Candidate
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- Previous experience in an Operations Administrator, Project Administrator, Production Administrator, Coordinator, or similar role.
- Experience working within a manufacturing, engineering, OEM, or industrial environment.
- Experience supporting operational, production, procurement, or project teams.
- Knowledge of ERP/MRP or business management systems.
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach to work.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Desirable:
- Experience using Power Query and/or Power BI.
