Production Planner
Bridgwater | £30,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits | Monday-Friday (37 Hours)

We're recruiting for an MPS Planner to join a well-established global manufacturing business in Bridgwater. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in planning, supply chain, customer service, order management, or production administration who enjoys coordinating multiple priorities and working across different departments to ensure customer orders are delivered on time.
The Role
As the MPS Planner, you'll be responsible for managing customer orders and the short-term production schedule, ensuring demand is balanced with manufacturing capacity. You'll work closely with internal departments including Production, Purchasing, Customer Service, Quality and Dispatch to ensure orders are processed accurately, priorities are managed effectively, and customers receive clear communication regarding delivery expectations.
This is a busy, fast-moving role that requires excellent organisation, strong communication skills and the ability to manage changing priorities throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage customer orders and the short-term production schedule.
- Process new orders and maintain accurate information within the ERP system.
- Review and respond to customer requests, including delivery date changes, quantity amendments and urgent requirements.
- Balance customer demand with available production capacity.
- Work closely with Production, Purchasing, Dispatch and Customer Service to resolve scheduling issues.
- Prioritise urgent orders and help manage production backlogs.
- Maintain accurate planning records and production documentation.
- Communicate delivery updates, risks and changes to both internal stakeholders and customers.
- Monitor order progress and support continuous improvements to planning processes.

What We're Looking For
We're interested in candidates who have experience in one or more of the following:
- Production Planning
- Supply Chain
- Order Management
- Production Administration
- Customer Service within Manufacturing
- Scheduling or Logistics Coordination
You'll also ideally have:
- Experience working with ERP systems (SAP, Fourth Shift or similar desirable).
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy operational environment.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- A proactive approach with a willingness to improve processes.
- Resilience and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

- £30,000 Salary
- Monday-Friday (37 hours per week)
