Project Manager – Engineering | Up to £65,000 + Excellent Benefits

Hours: Monday–Thursday 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Friday finish at 1:00 p.m.
Are you an experienced Project Manager with a mechanical engineering background and a passion for delivering complex engineering projects? Our client, a respected engineering solutions provider, is seeking a dynamic Project Manager to lead and deliver high-value projects across a range of industrial sectors.
Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you'll take full ownership of projects from initial handover through to delivery—ensuring technical compliance, customer satisfaction, and commercial success.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Manage multi-disciplinary engineering projects from concept through to delivery.
- Develop and drive project plans, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution.
- Act as the key liaison between customers, suppliers, and internal teams across design, production, procurement, and aftersales.
- Ensure compliance with all customer specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Produce technical documentation including specifications, quality procedures, and compliance packs.
- Monitor and report on project progress, cost control, and profitability.
- Oversee safety and testing processes in line with project-specific requirements.
What We’re Looking For:
- A qualified Mechanical Engineer with proven experience managing capital engineering projects (£30k – £5m).
- Background in sectors such as oil & gas, process, offshore, or heavy manufacturing.
- Confident in managing highly skilled engineering teams.
- Experience with diesel or motor-driven equipment (30kW to 2000kW), hydraulics, and electro-mechanical control systems.
- Familiarity with detailed documentation and certification regimes.
- Strong IT skills including project planning tools and 3D CAD (Solid Edge or SolidWorks).
- Excellent communication skills, with confidence working directly with clients and technical suppliers, including international travel.
- Full UK driving licence required.
