Then get in touch! Kingston Barnes is currently recruiting for a QHSE Manager in the Bridgwater area. Our client is seeking a skilled QHSE Manager to be responsible for the Health, Safety, and Environmental matters and adherence to quality management systems.
The Company: Our client is a market leader in their engineering field. They produce precision-machined components for various industries within engineering and manufacturing.
The Role: As the QHSE Manager, you will be responsible for leading Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental compliance. Reporting to the Lead QHSE Manager, this role will oversee site accreditation, performance analysis, and customer interactions.
You will work cross-functionally with different teams to drive compliance, continuous improvement, and strategic initiatives. Responsibilities include maintaining systems, supporting audits, collaborating across departments and implementing and monitoring QHSE policies, procedures, and best practices. Key responsibilities include:
- Prepare quality-related strategies and develop internal policy with the Lead QHSE Manager.
- Responsible for the auditing of the Company’s business management system in accordance to AS9100 revision D, ISO 13485 & ISO9001.
- Lead and encourage a proactive Health and Safety culture
- Manage and lead a team of inspectors/engineers
- Be the point of contact for all quality matters for customers and suppliers
- Ensure all quality records are correctly controlled and maintained following the BMS
- Lead and participate in and support external audits
- Be the primary point of contact for all health, safety and compliance issues
- Carry out risk assessments to identify hazards and risks and advise on actions to minimise them
- Coordinate and attend any H&S committee or other meetings for the site
About you
- Proven knowledge and experience of managing compliance within an aerospace or medical environment (AS9001 or ISO13485)
- Knowledge and experience of health and safety practices in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to implement and adhere to QHSE policies, procedures, and processes
- Experience with quality tools (LEAN, Six sigma, 8D)
- NEBOSH qualified
- Quality management qualifications are desirable
