Operating nationwide with multiple UK locations, they deliver turnkey engineering solutions for clients across sectors such as pharmaceuticals, food production, manufacturing, and logistics. The team specialises in heavy equipment moving, mechanical installations, and on-site engineering support.
Role Overview
The company is looking for an experienced Machine Mover / Slinger Banksman to join a growing engineering team. This role focuses on the safe movement, positioning, and installation of heavy machinery at a variety of industrial sites, including production and processing facilities.
The ideal candidate will be based within easy access of the M4 corridor and be able to work flexibly as part of a skilled, site-based team.
Key Responsibilities
Safely move, lift, and position heavy machinery within industrial and production environments.
Work collaboratively on machinery installation, dismantling, and relocation projects.
Carry out slinging, signalling, and guiding duties for cranes and lifting operations.
Operate forklifts and other relevant plant equipment where required.
Follow site safety protocols and company procedures at all times.
Meet project deadlines while maintaining exceptional safety and quality standards.
Travel to various company and client sites across the UK (overnight stays may be required).
Assist foremen and project leads with general operational tasks.
Requirements
Proven background in machinery moving, rigging, or industrial installation work.
CPCS or NPORS Slinger/Signaller (Banksman) certification.
Forklift licence preferred but not essential.
Full UK driving licence.
Willingness to travel and stay away from home when projects require (accommodation provided).
Strong understanding of health & safety principles.
Good communication skills with a team-oriented approach.
