Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Roofing Supervisor/Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive expertise in all aspects of roofing to include slates, tiles, and all types of flat roofs. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong leadership skills, and the ability to mentor and develop team members. The successful candidate will oversee the roofing department, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Candidates must be willing to travel across the South Wales region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all roofing projects, ensuring quality and efficiency.
- Work on the tools alongside the team, providing hands-on guidance and support.
- Supervise and mentor a team of roofing professionals, providing guidance and training.
- Ensure all work complies with industry standards and company policies.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project specifications are met.
- Monitor project progress, manage budgets, and ensure timely completion of projects.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure safety and quality standards are maintained.
- Address and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the course of projects.
- Travel to various project sites across the South Wales region as required.
- As the department grows, transition into a more strategic managerial role, focusing on department expansion and development.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in roofing, slates, tiles, and flat roofs.
- Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the roofing industry.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to mentor and develop team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards in the roofing industry.
- Willingness to travel across the South Wales region.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification or training in construction management.
- Familiarity with the latest roofing technologies and materials.
Annual Salary:
- £34,000-£35,000+ Company Van, On call premium, Overtime, Tools, Work Phone and Bonus scheme linked to performance.
