Their operations support local authorities and commercial customers in reducing environmental impact while generating low-carbon energy and reusable materials
The Role:
The Social Value Officer will play a pivotal role in embedding the ERF within the local community.
This site-based role is responsible for building and managing relationships with stakeholders, delivering the project’s Economic Regeneration and Social Value (ERSV) commitments, and acting as a key point of contact for public engagement and liaison.
Key Duties:
- Develop and manage stakeholder relationships with local communities, businesses, education providers and key partners.
- Deliver the project’s Environmental & Social Value commitments across construction and operational phases.
- Organise and attend community engagement events, Meet the Buyer sessions and public forums.
- Maintain project communication channels, including website content and stakeholder updates.
- Coordinate site visits, education programmes and visitor centre activities, ensuring full H&S and reporting compliance.
- Act as a community ambassador, representing the organisation at external events and stakeholder meetings.
- Support delivery of contractual community benefit and social value objectives in partnership with the client authority.
- Engage SMEs and social enterprises to promote supply chain and employment opportunities.
- Monitor engagement activity against budgets and contractual obligations.
- Support PR and communications activity to enhance local reputation.
- Maintain stakeholder engagement throughout construction, commissioning and operational delivery.
About You:
Essential:
- An awareness of Health & Safety in the workplace
- Understanding of long-term performance indicators, business priorities, capabilities and communications objectives
- Excellent communicator, credible and able to influence at all levels.
- Delivery of targeted projects with measurable outcomes
- Experience producing complex reports and presentations
- Demonstrated success in stakeholder communication
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: £39,000
- Monday – Friday 40 hours per week
- 25 days + bank holidays
