My client, a central Bristol manufacturing company is looking to recruit a materials/dispatch operative on a temp to perm basis.
Location:
BS1- Central Bristol
Hours of work:
Standard day shift of 08:00 to 16:30 Monday to Friday or a rotating shift pattern of 06:00 to 13:45 and 13:15 to 21:00, depending on business requirements.
Pay:
£14.40 per hour including holiday pay
The role will involve:
- As a Packing & Dispatch Operative, you will be responsible for safely and accurately packing, handling and preparing engineering components for dispatch to customers.
- You will play an important role in ensuring products are packed correctly, meet our quality standards and are ready to leave the business on time.
- Select the correct packaging materials to protect products during transport.
- Check product details, including part numbers and batch/serial numbers.
- Carry out final visual checks before products are packed.
- Prepare delivery notes, packing lists and other dispatch paperwork.
- Organise orders according to dispatch schedules and priorities.
- Load and unload goods safely.
- Liaise with carriers and other departments to ensure shipments are dispatched on time.
- Follow company quality, health and safety procedures.
Previous experience in packing, dispatch, warehousing or manufacturing would be an advantage, but we are also happy to consider candidates with the right attitude and work ethic.
Candidates who must be able to demonstrate reliability and punctuality will also be key.
